Today morning i decided to head to Margaret Drive hawker centre due to my expectations of the home kitchen.
I wondered what to buy at "Lontong Sedap" and I was the first in queue. The stallholders were very patient and kind as always.
It took me quite awhile because when I was at the stall last time, they used to have all kinds of rice dishes ready before 8 a.m.
Things really change a lot.
I bought the following and total cost was S$17.50
a. mixed fried kway teow & mee goreng (additional sambal & lime)
b. lontong
c. nasi lemak ayam
d. kuih tart
b & c were S$4 each and d was S$7.
Before the stallholder packed the items i ordered, I was surprised to see the queue behind was long - about ten people.
Police staff on the morning shift duty also came to buy but i guessed they went to the other stall (Queenstown Lontong).
I didn't go to Queenstown Lontong anymore because the stallholder was stern when i ordered "laksa" and "mee rebus" on different days. Also she was agitated when i ordered with a slip of my tongue.
I didn't know those items were no longer sold. I wished they had cancelled it on their menu board to prevent the embarrassment.
Anyway, I was happy to be able to try almost all the food at that stall. Yes, they are delicious like how its ratings are in Google.
Hari Raya is about four months away. I am already indulging in this box of pineapple tarts. Hehehe 😄
