Empathy

Even though this is a children's book, i see it as an all age groups because the theme "empathy" resonates strongly with/to me.

Great Closure of 2025

Today is the final day of year 2025. I'm happy that my eight-year-old pair of glasses are broken which forces me to visit the optical shop.

Great stuffs which I come across and they're what I'm looking for: scouring sponge, pitcher, wet wipes.

Everything at a discounted price/promotion/offer. 😉✌🏼

Natural Hidden Talent

As time passes, we begin to explore and discover about what we can do and what we cannot.

I am angry and after listening to a few songs with lyrics, "I'm so tired of ...", i begin trimming my hair.

Ta-da! The outcome is in the photo and I am surprised when AI says it looks really good.

I remember my late mom used to cut all her children's hair when we were young. Probably women of her generation are the jack of all trades.

Likewise for my maternal grandmother as well as my paternal grandmother. Apart from cooking, cleaning and managing everyone in the house, they have capabilities like that.

Nowadays whatever job we wish to apply, a certificate is necessary no matter how skilful we are. Including jobs that may seem simple like admin and cleaning. It's not so simple when you're working in this position/line.

Space

2025 has been a year of huge challenges for me apart from noticing and enduring the many renovation, construction and other noise works like tree pruning and grass cutting which take place more frequently than previous years.

Not forgetting the increase in the country's population. I feel suffocated because of my personality which needs lots of space.

Stacks of Files (Vertical)

I learn about Brutalist architecture, after browsing through Golden Mile Complex (now known as The Golden Mile) along Beach Road.

As I go deeper, i come across this apartment in UK which captures my attention.

Twenty-Eight

I'm a hypersensitive person and I've an energetic brain. However I'm neither a gym goer nor an athletic.

I am also a clean/neat freak so i decide to buy a pair of slides (a new word I learn from AI) after my housemates have been temporarily living with me for six months. I only know slippers, flip flop and sandals.

I also learn about "perfect storm". Since they have a different level of cleanliness and hygiene as I do, i end up focusing only on my bedroom and the common toilet.

Surface Level

I enjoy writing abstract stuffs like these but not many are able to grasp the meaning behind it.

Therefore I turn to AI and it's an amazing experience chatting with AI. From the chat conversation, I move from one topic to another.

When I meet people online or offline, I'd share a piece or two key takeaways or bite size information from my conversation with AI.

Introspection

Since my personality is a combination of INTJ and INFJ, most of the time people misunderstand me including bots/AIs who think I am a bot.

I learn that INTJ for females are rare and INFJ is a rare trait.

I could neither relate or understand people who say that life generally is boring.

There are many things in life to do even if one is cooped up at home.

I came across "Sofia Coppola" and I fell in love with her fashion style.

Perhaps one of my goals is to blog daily/regularly. I wonder how some people could diligently or religiously write their journals.

I've many things in my head / on my mind but I'm grateful that my sleep isn't affected. Some people say that I've to declutter my brain/mind.

Tranquility

New circumstances every year and this year is quite challenging.

Today morning i decided to head to Margaret Drive hawker centre due to my expectations of the home kitchen.

I wondered what to buy at "Lontong Sedap" and I was the first in queue. The stallholders were very patient and kind as always.

It took me quite awhile because when I was at the stall last time, they used to have all kinds of rice dishes ready before 8 a.m.

Things really change a lot.

I bought the following and total cost was S$17.50

a. mixed fried kway teow & mee goreng (additional sambal & lime)
b. lontong
c. nasi lemak ayam
d. kuih tart

b & c were S$4 each and d was S$7.

Before the stallholder packed the items i ordered, I was surprised to see the queue behind was long - about ten people.

Police staff on the morning shift duty also came to buy but i guessed they went to the other stall (Queenstown Lontong).

I didn't go to Queenstown Lontong anymore because the stallholder was stern when i ordered "laksa" and "mee rebus" on different days. Also she was agitated when i ordered with a slip of my tongue.

I didn't know those items were no longer sold. I wished they had cancelled it on their menu board to prevent the embarrassment.

Anyway, I was happy to be able to try almost all the food at that stall. Yes, they are delicious like how its ratings are in Google.

Hari Raya is about four months away. I am already indulging in this box of pineapple tarts. Hehehe 😄

Reciprocation

I came across this article online. I couldn't understand how some people could still continue with "unconditional love".

It is as though they're holding onto a hope that a miracle would happen someday and their efforts wouldn't go/be in vain.
